 Because chorus is a performance-based course, students will be assessed on their singing performance on a regular basis.  The following rubric is used to assess singing skills and will be used to encourage improvement over the course of the year.

Diction/ Projection

 

All consonants were crisp and all vowels were properly shaped.  Extra emphasis put  on important words.

The majority of the consonants were crisp and most vowels shaped correctly.

Some of the words were mumbled, couldn’t understand/hear you.

¾ of the song I couldn’t understand/hear because of diction.

I could not understand the words that were coming out of your mouth.

Rhythmic Accuracy

All rhythms were accurate

All pitches were accurate. No Intonation problems.  Excellent!!
